From 12 to 27 September, Denk.Mal e.V. was a partner of the exhibition “… auf den Strich gekommen …” at the Freiraum, Schuhstraße 3, together with Street Art Celle and the town of Celle. Our contribution was a reading corner with its own currency: coffee and biscuits were not paid for with money, but with five minutes of reading.
Letters with Martin Henze
The reading corner came with a lettering programme by Martin Henze, our project lead for calligraphy and the art of lettering. On 19 and 26 September he was there in person and talked about what is planned at Trift 32: a meeting place for calligraphers from the region, with workshops and hand lettering. If you are interested, just get in touch.
Pages for “Unser Buntes Celle”
Anyone who did not want to read could draw. Visitors designed pages for the colouring book “Unser Buntes Celle” (Our Colourful Celle), a joint project with the Partnership for Democracy Celle and the youth forum. The book will be presented at the International Celle Christmas Market on 29 November at Trift 32, where children get a copy for free.
Thank you to Street Art Celle, the town of Celle and everyone who read or drew a page at the Freiraum.
