The jury is now choosing which works go into the book. Everyone who submitted will hear from us, even if it did not work out this time.

Three steps to take part

  1. Pick your subject Draw or invent a page for our colouring book about Celle. Everyone can take part, young and old alike.
  2. Draw it by hand Portrait format on A4. Pencil is perfectly fine, we redraw the lines. By hand and without AI, one picture per person at most.
  3. Send us an email Send your contribution to kunst@denkmalcelle.de, subject “Malbuch”. The best ideas go into the booklet that is given to children at the Christmas market.

What to put in the email

  • Your drawing Portrait format, A4, drawn by hand. A photo or a scan is enough for us.
  • Title of the work What should the page be called?
  • Your name The way it should appear in the booklet later on.
  • Your age optional Only needed if you are under 18.
  • Consent if you are under 18 If you are under 18, please ask us for the form by email. Without consent we cannot accept a contribution.

Selection and rights

Please read before you submit. Sending in your material means you agree to these points.

These points applied to the submission and still apply to every work that was sent in.

What can you draw?
  • Beautiful places in Celle: the market square, the old town, the castle, the French Garden, the river Aller and whatever else comes to mind.
  • Life together in all its colours, many people and many generations.
  • Activity pages: “a dream spot for Celle”, puzzles, search-and-find pictures.
  • Anything that shows there is room for everyone in Celle.
How we select
  • The young jury looks at how well a picture works for colouring in, meaning clear lines, at how it fits the subject of Celle, and at creativity and variety.
  • By sending in your work you allow us to print and publish it as part of the project.
  • Pictures that are not selected are shown online on the “Demokratie leben!” website and digitally at the unveiling.

Together, young and old, we are creating a colouring book about Celle, and we are looking for contributions. If you would like to take part, submit your drawing by 15 September 2026.

The finished booklets will be given to children as a gift at the 2nd International Celle Christmas Market on 29 November 2026. It is well worth joining in.
